Health Summit Asia (HSA) will return from 5 to 7 May 2027 at the KL Convention Centre, under the theme “One Ecosystem. One Pulse. Shaping the Future of Health Economy.”
The event comes at a pivotal moment. Asia’s healthcare market is projected to reach US$5 trillion (RM20 trillion) by 2030, driven by a rapidly ageing population. Asia is already home to 60% of the world’s population aged 65 and above, and UNESCAP estimates that the Asia-Pacific 60+ demographic will double from 670 million in 2022 to 1.3 billion by 2050. This demographic shift makes sustainable healthcare delivery increasingly urgent—particularly in Malaysia, which the World Bank projects will become an aged society by 2044 (14% aged 65+) and a super-aged society by 2056 (20%+).

Speaking at the soft launch, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Hajjah Hanifah Hajar Taib, Deputy Minister of Health, Malaysia, said: “HSA 2027 aligns with Malaysia’s national healthcare goals and public-private health strategies. It reflects an important truth about healthcare today: progress can no longer happen in silos. It requires concerted and collaborative effort across government, healthcare providers, industry, academia, investors, innovators, and the wider health economy. By convening these great minds from across the region, I believe HSA will contribute meaningfully to building a society that is healthier, more productive, and more resilient.”
To accelerate real market impact, HSA 2027 is introducing Market Access Clinics, a signature practical route-to-market programme designed to help international and regional delegates translate opportunity into a structured Malaysia and Asia market-entry plan.

Taking place on 7 May, Market Access Clinics will use focused small-group sessions to explore the intricacies of entering Malaysia’s healthcare market across three core topics:
- Regulation: Navigating regulatory frameworks, evidence expectations, and compliance before committing resources.
- Hospital Adoption: Demonstrating clinical relevance, workflow fit, economic feasibility, and implementation readiness to healthcare providers.
- Distribution Partnerships: Identifying, evaluating, and structuring commercial agreements with ideal distribution partners.
Richard Teo, Executive Chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia, said: “The industry is at an important inflection point; we must break down boundaries and forge partnerships that will allow us to take strides in moving the healthcare industry beyond a narrow clinical sector into a full-scale growth economy encompassing care delivery, digital infrastructure, AI, and preventive wellness. HSA 2027 will be the platform to do this, reading the pulse of the industry at a regional level, congregating changemakers, and converting high-level conversations directly into commercial action.”
HSA 2027 aims to attract 120 exhibitors from 10 countries. The event will feature five core pillars: a two-day conference, a trade exhibition, market access clinics, an industry spotlight, and B2B meetings. It is expected to draw exhibitors and delegates from over 60 countries, with exhibitors spanning digital health and technology, medical devices and consumables, pharmaceutical innovation, nutrition and nutraceuticals, as well as health policy and regulation.
The conference will feature key discussions and critical industry insights from leading minds in the sector. Day one is themed Asia’s Health Economy – Markets, Policy, Capital and Technology, covering topics such as The Silver Economy: Where Demand and Capital Are Moving and Funding the Health Economy: What Capital Will Back in 2027.
Day two is themed From Market Access to Better Health – Commercialisation, Medicine and Wellness, featuring topics such as From Approval to Adoption: Winning Buyers and Distribution Channels Across ASEAN and The Next Operating Theatre: Robotics, Image-Guided Surgery and Minimally Invasive Care.
