24 Tourism Products Earn Iconic Recognition as Selangor Strengthens Path Towards Visit Selangor 2026

Tourism Selangor recently honoured 24 outstanding tourism products through the Anugerah Produk Ikonik Tourism Selangor 2025, recognising industry players that have demonstrated excellence in quality, innovation and visitor experience across Selangor’s tourism landscape. The awards were presented by YB Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Tetap Kerajaan Tempatan dan Pelancongan Negeri Selangor, during a ceremony held at the MBSA Convention Centre, Shah Alam.

This year’s recipients represent the diversity and strength of Selangor’s tourism offerings across five key segments as below:

The recognition underscores Tourism Selangor’s commitment to strengthening the state’s tourism ecosystem by championing products that reflect authenticity, quality and excellence. As officially recognised tourism icons, the recipients will be featured in Tourism Selangor’s promotional and marketing initiatives across domestic and international markets. 

Anugerah Produk Ikonik Tourism Selangor is a celebration of the passionate industry players who continue to elevate Selangor’s tourism landscape through innovation, authenticity and service excellence. These recognised products represent the very best of what our state has to offer and play an important role in enhancing destination competitiveness. As we prepare for Tahun Melawat Selangor 2026, the State Government remains committed to supporting initiatives that drive sustainable tourism growth, strengthen industry excellence and reinforce Selangor’s position as a leading tourism destination in Malaysia and the region, said YB Dato’ Ng Suee Lim. 

As Malaysia’s most visited state for five consecutive years, Selangor continues to record strong tourism performance, welcoming 36.4 million domestic visitors in 2025, an increase of 5.5 per cent compared to the previous year. This momentum reinforces the state’s readiness for Tahun Melawat Selangor 2026 and its aspiration to further strengthen its position as a leading tourism destination in the region. 

The ceremony also recognised recipients of the ASEAN Tourism Standards (ATS) 2026-2028, reinforcing Selangor’s growing reputation for delivering tourism experiences that meet regional benchmarks of quality and excellence. The recognition underscores the state’s ability to compete not only at the national level, but increasingly on the ASEAN stage. Also launched during the event was the Selangor Tourism Master Plan 2026-2030, reflecting Selangor’s commitment to strengthening its tourism sector and supporting future growth.
