Taiwan is doubling down on its commitment to the Malaysian market, unveiling an exciting lineup of travel experiences at the upcoming MATTA Fair September 2026. Spearheading the initiative is the Taiwan Tourism Administration’s Kuala Lumpur Office, which is bringing its global “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder” campaign to the heart of Southeast Asia’s premier travel expo.

“Malaysia remains a vital and rapidly expanding source market for Taiwan. Our significant presence at this year’s MATTA Fair underscores our dedication to deepening tourism ties and fostering vibrant people-to-people exchanges,” stated Abe Chou, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur Office. “Our ‘Waves of Wonder’ theme is designed to captivate Malaysian travellers, showcasing Taiwan’s rich tapestry of cultural heritage, world-renowned cuisine, breathtaking natural landscapes, and leisurely escapes. We are also delighted to partner with four Malaysian travel agents this year to offer specialised Muslim-friendly packages, ensuring we cater to the diverse needs of all Malaysian visitors. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration with local industry partners to expand this segment and unlock new opportunities for bilateral travel.”
