Tealive and Dutch Lady Malaysia have officially launched their ready-to-drink (RTD) dairy milk tea line, marking a strategic entry into the fast-growing convenience beverage segment. The new range—comprising MooTea (Signature Milk Tea) and MeowCha (Signature Matcha) —aims to bridge the gap between café-quality indulgence and on-the-go functionality, catering to consumers who want premium taste without the queue.

The collaboration unites Tealive’s reputation as Southeast Asia’s largest lifestyle tea brand (over 1,000 outlets across 12 countries) with Dutch Lady’s century-old dairy heritage. The products are produced at Dutch Lady’s Bandar Enstek facility, ensuring local manufacturing quality while supporting Malaysia’s expanding RTD dairy sector.
A Government-Endorsed Model of Local Innovation
The launch event at Sunway Pyramid was graced by YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development, who hailed the partnership as a blueprint for homegrown brands to co-create value and scale regionally. “This is exactly the kind of cross-industry collaboration that strengthens our domestic supply chain and opens new export potential,” he said.
From Bubble Tea Shelves to Supermarket Aisles
For Tealive, the move represents a pivotal shift beyond its store network. Founder and CEO Bryan Loo noted that the company’s first year in FMCG revealed how consumers interact with products differently across retail channels—prompting a bolder expansion strategy.
“Unlike opening new outlets, FMCG and RTD let us scale nationally using existing retail infrastructure, reaching customers in locations where a standalone store isn’t viable,” Loo explained. “This is a natural evolution of our long-term vision to become a broader lifestyle brand. With Dutch Lady, we’re taking our most-loved flavours and putting them into a format that fits any moment of the day.”

Dairy Reimagined for Modern Lifestyles
Dutch Lady Malaysia Managing Director Veronika Utami framed the launch as part of the company’s ambition to make dairy relevant beyond breakfast and cooking occasions. “Consumers today want convenience, enjoyment, and nutrition in one package. This collaboration delivers all three, using flavours Malaysians already trust,” she said.
Utami added that the partnership strengthens Dutch Lady’s foothold in the Out-of-Home segment while leveraging local production capabilities to drive growth in Malaysia’s RTD dairy category.

Strong Early Demand, Wide Availability
The initial market response has been robust, with launch stocks nearly selling out within weeks of release. Both variants are now available nationwide at Jaya Grocer, over 3,000 99 Speedmart outlets, and other major supermarkets and convenience chains.
More Than a Product Launch
Beyond the bottles, the partnership demonstrates how brands with complementary strengths, Tealive’s beverage innovation and café appeal, Dutch Lady’s dairy science and manufacturing scale—can co-create new consumption occasions. The five-day activation carnival at Sunway Pyramid was held featured live streams with top creators, DIY sampling booths, and interactive consumer experiences, underscoring the brands’ commitment to engaging directly with their audience.
